Common questions
Which plan shows numeric SEPI scores?
Horizon shows every company's SEPI tier badge but not the number behind it. Aperture and every plan above it unlock the numeric score, the full factor breakdown, both ranking windows, and full activity history.
Is MCP / API access included?
Yes, on every plan — there is no separate MCP SKU. Horizon keys return the directory boundary (identity, classification, tier badge); every paid plan returns full data. Monthly allowance and rate limit by plan: Horizon 100 units/mo at 5/min, Aperture 1,000 units/mo at 30/min, Meridian 10,000 units/mo at 60/min, Constellation 50,000 units/mo at 120/min, Observatory unmetered at 300/min.
Is there a trial?
Yes. Trials are granted by sales and time-boxed, and a trial runs at the tier the sales rep grants — a Constellation trial behaves exactly like Constellation for its duration. Contact sales to start one.
How does Meridian seat pricing work?
Meridian is $4,800/seat/yr for one seat, with a per-seat discount as the team grows: 2 seats −15% ($4,080/seat), 3 seats −20% ($3,840/seat), 4 seats −25% ($3,600/seat). At 5 seats or more the desk moves to Constellation, which includes 5 seats and adds seats at $5,400 each.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately at checkout. Downgrades and cancellations apply at the end of the current billing period — manage your subscription from your account.
What happens if I hit my rate limit?
Requests beyond your per-minute rate limit return HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header that says exactly when the window resets. Nothing is billed for overage — upgrade if you need more headroom.
What is your refund policy?
If Off Earth Data doesn't work out within your first 14 days, email us and we'll refund the first invoice in full. After that, cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid period.
Can I embed Off Earth Data in my own product?
Embedding OED in your own product needs a distribution licence (Uplink) — contact sales. The plans above cover internal use only.
Is there a self-hosted option?
Not as a standard product. Observatory customers with data-residency requirements can talk to us about dedicated deployments — contact sales.
